History of Wilson Nesbitt

Wilson Nesbitt Solicitors was established in Bangor in 1950 by Bertie Wilson and Hubert Nesbitt. A Belfast office was opened in 1997.

In 1998 the firm set up an IT department and started to develop case management processes. Since then the firm's IT team has developed over 90 separate customised processes for all of the firm's practice areas.

The process for developing a bespoke case management system starts with identifying our client's needs. Our solicitors design a best practice file to ensure the work is always processed to the same high standard. Our IT team then scripts an automated process, inter linking a precedent library of forms with a relevant database and building in prompts, reminders and specified points of supervision risk. These systems enable our people to interact quickly, efficiently and cost effectively by direct dial phone or smart phone and email with our clients.

Lexcel is the Law Society equivalent of ISO9001 and is the benchmark for well managed law firms. The firm achieved its Lexcel Quality Award standard in 2003 and has continued to adhere to the Lexcel standard and maintain its annual certification since.
