Our Belfast Marathon fundraising amount reaches £1,460 for Brake
We are delighted to confirm that the firm will be donating a total of £1,460 to the road safety charity Brake following our teams’ fundraising efforts around the Belfast Marathon.
Three Wilson Nesbitt relay teams ran the marathon on Sunday 5th May and donations on the just giving page reached £730. The Partners of the firm congratulated the teams that took part and then surprised them by announcing that they would double their fundraising efforts, meaning a cheque is on its way to Brake for £1,460.
Gary Adair, a partner at Wilson Nesbitt commented:
“Over the years we have gained a deeper understanding of the far reaching consequences of road traffic accidents on the injured victims that we work for. We’re greatly appreciative of the fantastic efforts of Brake to tackle the dangers on our roads and to promote road safety.
“It seemed appropriate to use a day when the roads were closed in Belfast and participants could run safely along the route to remember all those who have suffered as a result of accidents on our roads and we’re so proud of the staff who took part. We were delighted to match the amount raised by the team and know that Brake will use the £1,400 raised to great effect.”
