How Isla Secured Compensation following her Cycling Accident

“My compensation covered my recovery costs. Now I’m back to work”

Isla, 37, was cycling to her friend’s house on a Saturday afternoon in Bangor when a driver didn’t check properly before pulling out and hitting her, causing her to fall from her bike.

Isla went to the hospital in an ambulance as she had a head injury. Once at the hospital, they treated her for concussion and x-rayed her arm, finding that it was fractured. Her head injury was treated as a minor injury, and she was given pain medication for concussion.

Isla was discharged to go home the same day but took some time to recover and understandably felt nervous about going out on her bike again. In the months after her accident, she wanted to enquire about compensation and contacted Hannah at Wilson Nesbitt.

Hannah worked closely with Isla to get her the support she needed emotionally from the accident as well as physically from the injury. This was included in addition to her five-figure compensation claim.

Isla is now back at work and riding her bike;

“Hannah was professional and efficient at all times. She explained every step clearly as the process went on. I’m delighted with the service and the outcome.”
