Footballer arrested over hit and run

Professional footballer Marlon King has been arrested in relation to an alleged hit-and-run incident.

The incident took place just after midnight last Saturday in London, and the victim, who is described as being in his late 40s, was taken to hospital with a head injury. His condition is not believed to be life threatening. The vehicle involved did not stop at the scene of the incident. Mr King was subsequently arrested on suspicion of failure to stop at the scene of a road traffic accident, and was released on bail to mid-September.

Failure to stop your vehicle after a road traffic accident can result in 5 to 10 penalty points alone. Other charges of driving without due care and attention can add another 3 to 9 penalty points to your drivers licence depending on the circumstances.
