About Gary

Gary joined Wilson Nesbitt in 2006 and subsequently graduated with distinction from the Master of Legal Science course at Queens University Belfast.  

Gary is head of our Commercial Disputes Team who provide services to commercial and corporate clients as well as individuals in commercial litigation, property litigation, construction litigation insolvency and restructuring, judicial review and debt recovery. 

Gary acts for large institutional clients in the public and private sector in bring common sense and commercially sensitive resolutions to contentious or potentially contentious matters.  Gary succeeds in getting to grips with individual businesses, understanding their needs and tailoring bespoke solutions based on the requirements of each case. 

Gary and his team act for our lender clients in all aspects of account rehabilitation and secured recoveries including repossession, enforcement and receivership matters.  Our banking litigation team hold particular experience in the NI market in using innovation and IT to streamline recovery.  Gary regularly advises financial institutions on additional avenues of recovery by way professional negligence actions.

Gary heads our unsecured recoveries team who have specialist knowledge in recoveries unsecured debts.  Gary’s client’s include major lending institutions and large businesses.  Gary’s team offer a fast fixed cost service to aid businesses in recovery and cash flow improvement. 

In commercial matters Gary succeeds in getting to grips with individual businesses, understanding their needs and tailoring bespoke solutions based on the requirements of each case.  Gary has experience working for large companies and financial institutions. 

Memberships

Gary is a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association and the Construction Lawyers Association. 

Awards/Qualifications

Gary is a qualified higher court solicitor advocate and regularly exercises his advocacy rights to represent clients in contentious cases.
